Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SCROLOX LTD ("Yumix", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Yumix mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. You may optionally add a username, avatar photo, and bio.
- Your content — recipes you create or import (titles, ingredients, steps, photos, tags), collections, meal plans, and grocery lists.
- Onboarding answers — optional answers you give during onboarding (for example, your goals and where you save recipes from), used to personalize the experience.
- Preferences — such as your app language (English or Hebrew).
Content you import
When you share or paste a link (for example from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or a recipe website), we fetch the publicly available content of that link — including its caption, video, or photos — in order to extract a structured recipe for you. When you photograph a recipe, the images you submit are processed the same way.
Information collected automatically
- Purchase and subscription data — your subscription status, product, renewal and trial state, provided by Apple App Store / Google Play through our subscription provider RevenueCat. We never see your full payment details.
- Usage analytics — in-app events (for example screens viewed and features used), collected via PostHog to understand and improve the product.
- Diagnostics — crash reports and error data, collected via Sentry.
- Technical data — IP address, device model, operating system version, and app version.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: store and sync your recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists across your devices.
- To power AI features: extract recipes from links, videos, and photos, match ingredients to our catalog, and translate recipes between languages.
- To manage your subscription and verify your entitlement to the Service.
- To send transactional email — sign-in and account-deletion verification codes, and important service notices.
- To understand usage, fix bugs, and improve the product.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To protect the Service against fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
Recipe import and translation are powered by Google's Gemini models. Content you import (link captions, videos, photos) and recipe photos you submit are sent to Google's API solely to provide these features. We do not use your content to train AI models.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit their use of your data:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Yumix, our users, or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. International transfers
We are based in Israel, and our service providers process data in the United States and the European Union. Wherever your data is processed, we apply the safeguards described in this policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Personal information → Delete account); after you confirm with the verification code sent to your email, your account and content are permanently deleted from our systems. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups and logs for up to 90 days before being purged.
Note: deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Manage or cancel it in your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law — including the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 — you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can exercise these rights in the app or by emailing recipeappisr@gmail.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority).
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls, and industry-standard hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this address and update the effective date above; for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
